As the news of the death of Andy Irons, 32, and three-time world surfing champion shocked the surfing world, it is clear of the dangers posed by a disease that is nearly unheard of in the US.  WIth more government restrictions and cut-backs, will there be more like Andy?

Governor Chris Christie has said he’ll let a tax hike on businesses take effect if the federal government doesn’t help the state replenish the unemployment fund.  Companies with employees in the state of New Jersey could see an increase of up to $1,000 per employee in their Unemployment Tax starting July 1, 2010 unless the fund is infused with state or federal money.  This is an increase and is in addition to the tax currently paid for unemployment insurance.
